AB&I Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Donation Challenge
June 20, 2016
What is just one penny? Most of us don’t think it is all that much. We may even groan a little when we get pennies in our change. A dime here, a quarter there, it might not seem like much, but those coins can add up quicker than you think. For example, if every AB&I team member dropped a quarter into the donation jar on one day, it would raise enough money to help provide free lodging for a cancer patient who must travel for treatment.
AB&I team members took on the challenge to see how much “spare change” could be collected within a one-year period, and the team member that could guess closest to the amount collected would win a gift card. All the “spare change” was donated to Team Iron Will to Survive for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk this month.
The winner was Kerry Griffin with his guess of $463.08, only missing the total amount collected by $9.56!
