If you build it, they will come

If you have ever had the opportunity to see Tyler Pipe and the surrounding property you know how expansive this location is. The plant sits just off Highway 69 and the administrative offices are located just off County Road 492. The parking lot was located behind the administrative building and to get to and from their vehicles, hourly team members had to walk about a quarter to half mile.
We are proud to report that a new parking is now open! Plans were drawn up and the area was laid smooth, which in some cases was accomplished using jack hammers and front end loaders. Light poles were also installed so regardless of the time of day there is a clear path to work stations. They also installed a new electronic gate that conveniently operates by using team member badges and the time clocks and information boards were relocated so team members could stay apprised of all of the activities taking place at Tyler Pipe.
What used to be a 10-15 minute “hike” has been reduced to a short stroll. “I have had countless team members tell me how much they appreciate the new parking lot and how much easier it makes their lives,” said HR team member Rod Burrus.
Special thanks to Scott McCarty and his team as well as Gwen Jackson and the IT group for the many hours of planning and labor that went into this project. The parking lot is another way we can show the men and women at Tyler Pipe how much we appreciate their hard work.
