Jim Knapp retiring from Kennedy Valve after 38 years of service

03/30/2017 Kennedy Valve Co.

Kennedy Valve team members said goodbye to IT Administrator Jim Knapp last week who retired after 38 years of service. Jim began his career at Kennedy as a programming supervisor in 1978 and ten years later was promoted to IT Manager.  In 1997, he became the controller but transferred in 2000 back to the IT Department and finished his career as the IT Administrator where he helped introduce and implement the Bann and now AX enterprise resource planning programs to the company.

Although Jim is an avid hunter and will continue to spend time in the woods, most of his plans include staying right at home, enjoying and adding on to a brand new greenhouse. He plans to continue his work as President of a local fire department and enjoy a relaxing retirement with his wife Patty.  We will miss Jim’s patience, respect and genuine friendship.
