Manchester Tank Quincy Collects Items for Local Salvation Army
December 29, 2015
For the past eight years, Manchester Tank and Equipment team members in Quincy, Illinois (MTQ) have held a contest between departments to see which department could bring in the most items to donate to the local Salvation Army. Last year, they collected and donated 1,287 food items, 105 Toys and $200 in cash. We are pleased to report that this year team members donated 1,769 food items, 26 Toys and $849 in cash. The Quality Department (pictured) was the winner with a total of 811 total food items donated for an average of 62 items per person.
Major Andrew Miller of the Salvation Army said, “Every year since I have been in charge of the Quincy Salvation Army, the plant’s donations continue to grow in size. The Manchester Tank Quincy facility is one of the only manufacturing operations in the area that has a contest between departments to motivate employees to donate to the Salvation Army.”
Good job MTQ team.
