McWane Conducts a Day of Water Works Training

On November 3, 2015 several members of the McWane organization held a “Day of Water Works Training” at Gwinnett County Water Resources in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The program topics included the making of ductile iron pipe, product testing, restrain joint design, ductile iron fittings and accessories, trenchless applications with ductile iron pipe and other general installation discussions.
Presenters at the meeting were Stuart Liddell (McWane Ductile), Jerry Regula (McWane Ductile), Ken Rickvalsky (McWane Ductile) and Buck Christian (Tyler Union). Brian Richard (McWane Ductile) was instrumental in setting up the training which included 48 field personnel, operators, inspectors and engineers from Henry County Water and Sewer, Gwinnett County Water Resources, Athens Clarke County, Cherokee County, and Precision Planning Incorporated.
The six hour course was approved for continuing education credit by the Georgia Rural Water Association.
