Today’s student could be tomorrow’s team member
April 5, 2017
AB&I team members recently attended a Dream it, Do it orientation in Oakland, California. Amalia Beltran, Nick Darling, Jimmy Dileo, Christopher Fagundes, Evely Him, Jenny Landon, and Danny Tafolla Jr. represented AB&I at the event to learn how to be an early career manufacturing ambassador.
The Dream it, Do it Program is designed to help youth better understand the many opportunities a manufacturing job can offer. It also allows students who are more skillful at working in a job that is more hands-on to find a career that will support themselves and their family without having to attend a four-year university.
Christopher Fagundes, Nick Darling and Jenny Landon also visited Laney College to discuss potential job opportunities at AB&I. The overall turnout was very positive and the students were respectful and attentive, especially when they talked about the technology and innovation at AB&I.
We look forward to connecting and educating our future generations by continuing to reach out to prospective team members at schools, colleges and job fairs.
