TIP #27
HALOTRON vs. HALON 1211 LABEL CAUTIONS
All Halon 1211 extinguishers, for toxicity reasons, had a
minimum room volume size noted on the "Warning" portion of their nameplates
(labels). Halotron 1 extinguishers have similar warnings on their nameplates.
Halotron I extinguishers should not be used in a confined
space of less than: (see Halotron Minimum Volume). For comparison, room volume
for an equivalent size extinguisher containing Halon 1211 is in the column at
the right.
