Fire Extinguishers
ABC
ABC or Multi-Purpose Fire extinguishers utilize a specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate dry chemical. It chemically insulates Class A fires by melting at approximately 350°F and coats surface to which it is applied.
Water-Model 240
The Amerex model 240 fire extinguisher utilizes the cooling, soaking, and penetrating effect of a 45-55 foot stream of WATER.
Class K
Wet Chemical Fire Extinguishers are the best restaurant kitchen appliance hand-portable fire extinguishers you can purchase. Each model utilizes a specially blended potassium acetate base agent and has been tested and approved by UL for restaurant kitchen hazards.
Water Mist
Water Mist is the ultimate fire extinguisher for Class A fires and for locations where a potential Class C (electrical) hazard exists. The fine spray from the unique misting nozzle provides safety from electrical shock, greatly enhances the cooling and soaking characteristics of the agent and reduces scattering of burning materials.
Class D
The Amerex class D fire extinguisher features a “soft flow” extension applicator that is particularly suited for fighting CLASS D fires. It allows the operator to stand away from the extreme heat and toxic fumes caused by burning material.
Halotron BrX - Aviation
Amerex provides a unique solution for Halon 1211 replacement. These fire extinguishers utilize Halotron BrX to fulfill the next generation of aviation extinguisher requirements.
Halotron Clean Agent
HALOTRON I clean fire extinguishing agent discharges as a rapidly evaporating liquid, which is nonconductive, non-corrosive, and leaves behind no residue. Halotron I is the clean agent market leader with a history of successful real-world protection of valuable assets.
High Flow Dry Chemical
High flow fire extinguishers for applications where discharge rates exceeding one pound per second are required as specified in NFPA 10. These extinguishers utilize the same hardware and are manufactured to the same UL specifications as Amerex compliance-rated products.
CO2
A Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguisher is discharged as a white cloud of “snow” which smothers a fire by displacing oxygen. It is effective for Class B flammable liquids and is electrically non-conductive. Carbon Dioxide is a clean, non-contaminating, odorless gas.
Purple K
The Purple K fire extinguisher contains specially fluidized and siliconized potassium bicarbonate dry chemical which is particularly effective on Class B flammable liquids and pressurized gases. It is electrically non-conductive.
Z Series
Z-Series extinguishers are the ultimate choice in fire extinguishers for high hazard, frequent use, and extreme environment applications. Economical—less initial cost, lower maintenance costs, and greater reliability than cartridge-operated extinguishers.
Halotron BrX - commercial (HT Series)
Once exclusive to the aviation industry, Halotron BrX is available for commercial settings through the Amerex HT series. It safely puts out fires without damaging electronic equipment, specialized machinery, or other delicate materials. Data centers throughout the country are upgrading from Halotron to Halotron BrX for the ultimate clean agent protection.
CO2
Large volume CO2 protection provided in either 50 or 100 lb. (2-50 lb. cylinders) wheeled extinguishers.
Dry Chemical
The 125 lb. ABC and Purple K, and 150 lb. direct pressure wheeled fire extinguishers, utilize a 23 cubic foot nitrogen cylinder with a “quick opening brass valve” to pressurize and completely discharge the agent cylinder.
Halotron
The Amerex Halotron I wheeled extinguishers feature the same qualities found in all Amerex products and adds the convenience of a “clean” extinguishing agent.
