Amerex recently hosted nearly 300 enthusiastic second graders at our Trussville headquarters for an exciting and educational plant tour. The students visited in two separate groups and experienced a variety of interactive stations designed to teach them about fire safety and our products.
The tour was expertly organized by Gidget Yeager, who coordinated the group rotations and station logistics. Brayden Banks and Jason Gregory led the fire extinguisher product display, where they explained the design and function of fire extinguishers in a fun and accessible way.
Meanwhile, Kim McGuire, Chase Arrington, and Leland Jen guided students through a creative arts and crafts session themed around fire extinguishers. Riley-Kate Justice and Mexi Green split the students between a product presentation and a colorful, hands-on coloring station.
Mark Lewis, Lanika Johnson, Bryan Payne, and Alex Hydrick took students on a guided tour of the plant, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how our products are made. To top off the experience, Chris Thomas made a special appearance as Rex, the beloved Amerex Fire Extinguisher character, delighting the students and bringing smiles all around.
It was a memorable day filled with learning, creativity, and fun—thank you to everyone who helped make it a success!
